At the Bed & Breakfast Pontevecchio, the scenery of the Brembo river and the old bridge is nothing short of enchanting, and to complete the picture, there is the small Romanesque church of San Vittore.
Only a few minutes by car from Bergamo, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself Brembo’s nature and surrounding park.

Castello di Marne
L’edificio è sempre stato considerato un fortilizio imprendibile, grazie alla sua strategica posizione.
È arroccato, infatti, su uno sperone roccioso sotto il quale il torrente Dordo si getta nel vicino Brembo.
All’esterno è stata mantenuta la tipica struttura medievale, anche se rimaneggiata più volte, in particolare con una rivisitazione neo-medioevale risalente agli inizi del primo Novecento, con la torre merlata e le finestre a sesto acuto.
L’interno invece richiama le residenze rinascimentali con un semplice impianto a L, il giardino e il pozzo a muro.
Punto di partenza
Potete cominciare dai dolci colli che circondano l’abbazia di Sant’Egidio, a Fontanella, nel comune di Sotto il Monte, celebre per aver dato i natali a Papa Giovanni XXIII.
La seconda tappa potrebbe essere Santa Giulia, a Bonate Sotto, di cui si è conservata la notevole abside, per finire là dove il Brembo confluisce nel fiume Adda, chiudendo la punta meridionale dell’Isola bergamasca, a Brembate sotto dove potete visitare la chiesa di San Vittore.
