The building has always been considered to be an impregnable fortress, thanks to its excellent strategic location.
It is perched, in fact, on a rocky outcrop over a creek which flows into Dordo near Brembo.
Externally it has maintained its typical medieval structure, but has been altered several times, in particular with a neo-medieval remodelling in the early twentieth century, which resulted in the crenellated tower and arched windows.
The interior harks back to Renaissance residences with an L shape construction including the garden and the well wall.
